Who we are

LUWAKI ALCHEMY makes press-on nails to measure in Nairobi, Kenya. We are responsible for the personal data you share with us on luwakialchemy.com, under Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.

What we collect

• Your account: your name, email and phone number. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google. Your password is handled by our sign-in provider; we never see it.
• Your nail measurements: the width of each of your ten nails. We use them only to print your sets.
• Your orders: the designs you chose, your delivery address and phone, and a copy of your measurements at the moment you ordered, so a later change to your profile never alters a set already in production.
• Payments: handled entirely by Paystack. We receive a payment reference and the amount. We never see or store your card or M-Pesa details.
• Messages and commissions: what you send us through the contact form or a Private Edit brief.
• Saved designs and newsletter: designs you save, and your email if you join our newsletter.

Why we use it

To make and deliver your orders, run your account, answer your messages and keep the site secure. We send newsletters only if you ask for them, and you can unsubscribe at any time. We keep order records because the law requires us to for tax purposes.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share only what each service needs to do its job for us:

• Supabase: our database and sign-in.
• Paystack: payments.
• Resend: the emails we send you.
• Cloudflare and Hostinger: they run and protect the website.
• Google: only if you choose to sign in with Google.
• Our courier: your name, phone and delivery address, to deliver your order.

Some of these services store data outside Kenya. We use them only with safeguards that protect your data as Kenyan law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and measurements while your account is open. We keep order records for as long as tax law requires. We keep your newsletter email until you unsubscribe.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. Your cart and your light or dark theme are stored in your own browser. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it or take a copy of it. You can also object to how we use it or withdraw your consent. To do any of these, email [email protected]. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (odpc.go.ke).

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
