Architecture taught me to think about structure, proportion and material and how they influence the relationship between a space and the person experiencing it.
Over the years I found myself with a frustration familiar to anyone who has ever had an idea that they couldn't quite see brought to life.
Where a technique may not allow the form.A material may not allow the detail.A process may require the idea to be simplified.
LUWAKI was the answer to those frustrations. A place where what you imagine becomes something you can finally hold.
A way to begin with the idea itself, develop it without limitations, and create the physical form that was imagined in the first place.

WHY NAILS?
When adorned they carry colour, symbolism, ornament and memory, becoming one of the intrinsic ways we express our identity to the world.
Though small and delicate they are visible in gestures, movement and interaction and that is precisely what makes them our first choice canvas.

The completed form is translated from the digital into the physical through precision 3D printing, as one complete piece.
